My personal thoughts on artificial intelligence, AI
OK , having lots of data/information, ability to calculate chess moves many steps ahead, a self driving car being able to detect obstacles and take evasive actions accordingly. A weapon system being able to follow GPS data and differentiate between playing kids and enemy soldiers. These to me are basic (or not so basic) IF x THEN y ELSE zzzz (!) These factors are part of transistors and intelligence, I guess, and easily programmed. BUT what about interest, creativity, love/affinity, curiosity, fascination, admiration, determination, lost interest, artistry, humor, laughter? I've always thought great humor is a sign of intelligence. So I'll be impressed when my computer is funnier to me than Russel Brand and/or Sarah Silverman. It should also be more creative than Elon for me to be REALLY impressed. As long as it appreciates my jokes. And when the computer expresses her love for me I will for sure be suspicious, at first. Is this an algorithm someone programmed in
